Kayla's First Glamour Shots

Michelle’s cousin Tammy offered to take Kayla’s glamor photos in her studio. I was not too thrilled at first… I don’t want my daughter to pose naked in any photograph, let alone 30! Once the pictures were done I appreciated the artwork and now understand why parents subject their babies to this:)

Umbilical Cord Falls Off!

When Kayla turned 7 days old her umbilical cord fell off and uncovered a very cute little belly button. Not sure if she will have an iny or an outy. I am sure we will find out shortly Big Smile

Kayla's First Stroll Around the Block

Sister Amanda and Mommy decided to take Kayla for a stroll around the neighborhood. I was at work but from what I heard, she did not like the stroller and wanted to be held. So it was more like a walk around the hood.

The Sleep Depervation

The sound of Kayla crying is much more pleasant then the “EENNNTT... ENNNTT... ENNNTT... ENNNTT...” sound of my alarm clock.

Since Michelle is staying at home for now she gets up to feed and change Kayla, but I am always subconsciously awake while she is doing so. And we both love the sound of her little cry.

Here are some updated photos:

Kayla's Birth

Kayla Ryan Gibson was born at Scottsdale/Shea Hospital at 7:57 AM on January 7, 2009 via a "C" section. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 1.2 ounce and was 20 inches long. At first sight, we knew she was a prefect little baby girl. This being my first child it is impossible to describe the feeling of looking at the beautiful child Michelle and I created. We are both VERY thankful that she was born with no health issues. I am also VERY thankful that the "C" section procedure was completed with no issues and Michelle made a full recovery.
